Overview

MEC Construction LLC is seeking a Welder Helper to assist welders in securing components for accurate welds and to contribute to the project's labor force. This role involves preparing materials for welding and performing various tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Assist welder(s) in securing components together for accurate welds.
• Prepare material for welding by cutting or grinding using various tools.
• Set material in stands, racks, hoists, etc. for welding.
• Perform tasks assigned by Welder or Foreman.

Requirements

• Follows oral and written directions.
• Assists in cleaning the worksite after workday is over.
• Learns proper use and maintenance of various tools.
• Follows all MEC's policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• One year of industrial/construction/general labor experience.
• OSHA 10 Certification preferred.

Additional Information

• Frequent walking and climbing (stairs, ladders, terrain).
• Frequent lifting (up to and including 50 pounds).
• Frequent bending, twisting, and standing.
• Exposure to working outdoors in all-weather conditions.
• Ability to work more than 40 hours in any given week including weekend assignments as required.
• Travel is required.
• Work Location: On the road.
