Overview
The Welder positions focus on performing aluminum MIG welding in a production environment, with varying levels of responsibility and skill required. The roles range from entry-level to advanced, emphasizing safety, quality, and efficiency in welding operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform aluminum MIG welding according to work instructions and specifications.
- Read and follow basic blueprints and weld symbols.
- Set up welding equipment with guidance from leads or supervisors.
- Perform aluminum MIG and laser welding on various parts and assemblies.
- Set up, adjust, and operate welding and laser equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and work instructions.
- Perform in-process and final inspections to ensure quality.
- Assist with troubleshooting welding and equipment issues.
- Support line setup and changeovers.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Perform MIG, TIG, and laser welding on a multiple weld line.
- Set up, program, and troubleshoot welding and laser equipment.
- Ensure all welds meet or exceed quality standards and specifications.
- Assist setups and changeovers, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Set the standard for other employees.
- Work closely with leadership teams to hit target goals, quality standards, and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards and procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Level 1: 0-6 months welding experience.
- Level 2: 6-12 months welding experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Level 3: One year of welding MIG, TIG, and Laser Welding Aluminum preferred.
- Ability to successfully pass a MIG welding certification test.
- Strong understanding of blueprints, weld symbols, and tolerances.
- Ability to work independently and solve problems.
- Proven troubleshooting skills and ability to train and develop other employees.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Basic math skills and ability to measure distance using a tape measure or other measuring device.
- Basic computer experience and ability to learn internal programs.

- Work schedule: 1st Shift Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
- Location: Morganfield, KY 42437 (Preferred).
- Work Location: In person.
