Overview

The Welding Technician III position at RTX involves operating various welding equipment to manufacture aerospace components while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. RTX is a leading aerospace and defense company focused on innovative solutions and advanced technology.

Responsibilities

• Operate various welding, soldering and brazing equipment to manufacture components.
• Work from specifications, sketches, technical orders, blueprints, and other instructions.
• Perform fusion welding, salt braze, torch braze, plasma cutting, electric-arc, heli-arc, and acetylene welding processes.
• Ensure all documentation is quality compliant and traceable.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Participate in audits of processes, procedures, and work areas.
• Move parts and materials according to material flow procedures.
• Keep equipment and surroundings neat, clean, and organized.
• Perform related duties as required within the job function.

Requirements

• 1-2 years relevant experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Production welding experience preferred.
• Experience with TIG and Aluminum welding preferred.
• Experience in the aerospace industry preferred.
• 5-7 years of relevant experience preferred.

Additional Information

• 3rd Shift: 12am to 8:30am, Monday to Friday.
• Training may take place on 1st, 2nd Shift, or 3rd Shift for up to 3 months.
