Overview

At Freeport-McMoRan, the Boilermaker Welder I position focuses on the assembly, maintenance, and repair of boilers and pressure vessels in a collaborative and safety-oriented environment. Responsibilities

• Perform duties related to assembly, maintenance, and repair of boilers, pressure vessels, tanks, and vats using various welding processes.
• Perform routine maintenance activities.
• Develop solutions for various maintenance situations.
• Complete Work Orders and other maintenance documentation.
• Train and mentor maintenance employees.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Two years of experience in the crafts of Welder/Boilermaker or a combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency in welding/cutting.
• Must have completed academic and practical competencies required and demonstrate the ability to apply knowledge and skills.
• Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures in English.
• Ability to communicate in English regarding job assignments, procedures, and safety standards.
