Job Description

NDT/Welding Inspector | Offshore Wind Foundations | Spain | 12-Month Contract We are looking for 2 experienced NDT/Welding Inspectors to support quality and production assurance services on the Norfolk Vanguard West offshore wind project, based at Haizea, Spain. This role is suited to a senior client-side inspector with strong experience in NDT, welding inspection, offshore fabrication and large structural steelwork. You will support site-based fabrication quality activities and help ensure compliance with project specifications, standards and inspection requirements.

Key responsibilities include

  • Monitoring fabrication and NDT works performed by the contractor
  • Witnessing inspections, fit-ups, dimensional checks and NDT activities
  • Reviewing ITPs, welding procedures, NDT procedures and inspection documentation
  • Monitoring workmanship, welding stations, NDT stations, materials and consumables traceability
  • Supporting joint walk-downs, final inspections and punch/snag close-out
  • Liaising with contractor and subcontractor teams
  • Reporting quality issues, technical queries and non-conformities
  • Preparing routine site quality reports
  • Recording inspection and surveillance activities in LetsBuild / Aproplan
  • Supporting review of final as-built fabrication and NDT records Essential requirements:
  • PCN Level II NDT or equivalent in VT, MT, PT, UT, RT and PAUT
  • 10+ years’ relevant inspection experience
  • CSWIP 3.2, AWS-SCWI or equivalent
  • Strong offshore wind or O&G fabrication background
  • Experience with foundations, monopiles, transition pieces or large fabricated offshore structures
  • Knowledge of NORSOK, DNV and applicable offshore standards
  • Ability to interpret fabrication drawings, ITPs and NDT testing documentation
  • Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Professional written and spoken English
  • MS Office, Teams and Outlook capability
  • Full driving licence, where required
