Overview

The Welder position requires candidates with torch operations experience and at least 2 years of stick welding experience. The role involves completing welding projects professionally and efficiently while adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Complete welding projects for clients in a timely professional manner.
• Assist in selecting and procuring the right material and equipment needed for welding, measuring and aligning workpieces.
• Assist in evaluating welding procedures and recommending improvements.
• Effectively use a variety of hand, power, bench tools, and measuring devices.
• Obtain required configurations and positions.
• Setup, change and troubleshoot welding processes, welding perimeters, gas flow, and regulations.
• Monitor the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid warping and shrinkage.
• Assist other team members as needed.
• Repair lines/leads if damaged.

Requirements

• Eligible to work in the U.S.
• 2 years stick welding experience.
• Torch Operations experience.
• TWIC card required.
• Experience in various welding rods/stick (60-series and 70-series) welding.
• Consent for a pre-employment drug test screening.
• A great attitude when dealing with coworkers and customers.
• Ability to work Saturday/Sunday as required based on business needs.
• Ability to travel to various locations for projects.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions (extreme heat).
• Maritime Industry experience preferred.
• Ability to pass welding test (3G,4G) via stick according to AWS D1.1 and Arc Marine Welding Procedures.
• Operational knowledge of hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to read and understand drawings, blueprints and instructions.
• Ability to climb up to 60ft.
• Ability to lift 50lbs.
• Willingness to learn equipment usage and troubleshoot minor issues.
• Ability to comprehend verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to follow standard safety standards.
