Dynamic Steel Technology, INC is currently seeking an experienced Fabricator/Installer to join our team. This full-time position offers competitive compensation of $30-$35 per hour, with opportunities for overtime (40+ hours a week). The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in steel fabrication and installation and will be proficient in reading shop drawings, layout, and various welding techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret complex blueprints, engineering drawings, and shop specifications to plan fabrication and installation sequences.
  • Lay out cutting and bending lines on metal stock to ensure accurate dimensions and specifications are met.
  • Fabricate and assemble steel components and structures using a variety of tools and machinery, including shears, saws, presses, and grinders.
  • Perform high-quality welds using both MIG and TIG welding processes.
  • Fit and align parts using techniques such as jacks, turnbuckles, wedges, and clamps in preparation for welding or assembly.
  • Operate heavy machinery, including forklifts, hoists, and cranes, to move and position large steel components safely.
  • Conduct on-site installation of fabricated steel structures, which may require working at heights or in confined spaces.
  • Perform quality control inspections on finished products to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Troubleshoot and problem-solve design or fit issues in collaboration with design and engineering teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Steel Fabricator/Installer or similar role.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents, blueprints, and shop drawings.
  • Expertise in various welding techniques, including MIG and TIG, and knowledge of welding codes and standards.
  • Strong mathematical skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
  • Familiarity with fabrication tools and equipment, including hand tools, power tools, and large machinery.
  • Physical strength and stamina to handle heavy materials and equipment and perform demanding tasks such as standing for long periods, bending, and climbing.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team, both in the shop and on-site.
