Overview
The CNC Operator position involves setting up and operating CNC machines for kitchen cabinet fabrication, ensuring quality control, and maintaining a safe work environment. The role requires effective communication and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to work flexible hours.
Responsibilities
- Set up CNC machines by loading tools, fixtures, and materials.
- Verify machine settings and program parameters are correct before cutting.
- Operate CNC machines to produce production parts and assemblies.
- Recognize different material types.
- Identify worn tooling and changes in the machine as required.
- Verify quality of completed product or batch and inspect for quality control.
- Report defective materials, discrepancies, process malfunctions, or non-compliant products to the manager.
- Operate manual machines such as table saws and bench drill presses.
- Use hand-held tools, electrical tools, and/or pneumatic tools.
- Utilize precision measuring tools as required.
- Complete all necessary paperwork, including in-process production sheets.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
- Perform basic machine maintenance.
Requirements
- Experience as a CNC Operator.
- Proficient in machine setup, tool changes, offsets, and program adjustments.
- Knowledge of G-code programming is a plus.
- Understanding of machining principles, tool selection, and CNC machine operation.
- Ability to perform troubleshooting on the CNC independently.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Bilingual, with proficiency in English and Spanish preferred.
- Ability to drive a forklift.
- Friendly and positive attitude.
