Overview
618 Design LLC is seeking an experienced Lead Fabricator to oversee fabrication efforts from initial build through final installation. This position requires a high level of technical skill, attention to detail, and the ability to lead and coordinate work within a collaborative shop environment focused on custom, design-driven projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead the fabrication and assembly of custom architectural and design-driven projects.
- Interpret and execute work in accordance with shop drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Coordinate with designers and project managers to ensure alignment on scope, schedule, and deliverables.
- Supervise and support fabrication staff, including task delegation and guidance on best practices.
- Perform high-quality welding and fabrication across a range of materials and finishes.
- Ensure all work meets established quality standards, timelines, and safety protocols.
- Lead on-site installations as required.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of metal fabrication experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in GTAW, GMAW, and SMAW welding techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.
- Experience working with stainless steel, mild steel, aluminum, and copper alloys.
- Familiarity with fabrication and machining tools (cutting, grinding, milling, drilling, etc.).
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a shop environment.
- Valid driver’s license.

- Primarily shop-based with occasional on-site work.
- Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors when necessary.
