Overview

Signs of the Times Inc., a leading commercial sign manufacturer in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking an experienced Sign Fabricator. This position specializes in the fabrication and assembly of large illuminated signs and requires strong metal fabrication skills and experience with electrical sign assembly.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble large illuminated signs including cabinets, monuments, pylons, and raceways.
• Build and assemble dimensional letters and custom-fabricated building address numbers.
• Install and wire LED modules, power supplies, and internal sign lighting components.
• Fabricate aluminum and steel letter returns and backs.
• Perform MIG welding on aluminum and steel sign components.
• Read and interpret shop drawings, engineering plans, and production work orders.
• Assemble structural frames and internal supports for large signage.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure structural integrity and electrical compliance.
• Maintain a clean and safe fabrication workspace.
• Follow OSHA and company safety standards.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in commercial sign fabrication.
• Experience fabricating channel letters and dimensional letters.
• Strong knowledge of LED systems and illuminated signage.
• Proficient in MIG welding (TIG a plus).
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
• Familiarity with UL standards for electric signs preferred.
• Ability to lift 75+ lbs and work in a heavy fabrication environment.
• Strong attention to craftsmanship and detail.
• Team-oriented with a strong work ethic.
