Overview

Steel Traditions is a family-owned company based in Vista, CA, specializing in the design and fabrication of high-end architectural steel windows and doors for luxury projects across the United States. They are seeking an experienced Senior Steel Fabricator / MIG Welder to join their team, focusing on precision fabrication and quality craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate architectural steel windows and doors from production drawings and shop orders.
• Perform MIG welding, layout, fitting, grinding, and related fabrication tasks.
• Measure and fabricate accurately to tight tolerances.
• Interpret shop drawings, cut lists, and production instructions.
• Work under the direction of the Lead Fabrication Team.
• Maintain clean, consistent welds and high-quality finished work.
• Identify fabrication issues before they move downstream.
• Follow company quality-control standards and shop procedures.
• Work safely around equipment, tools, materials, and other team members.
• Collaborate with welders, finishers, painters, project managers, and production leads.

Requirements

• 6+ years of fabrication and welding experience preferred.
• Strong MIG welding experience.
• Ability to measure accurately to 1/32".
• Ability to read and interpret production drawings and shop orders.
• Strong math and layout skills.
• Knowledge of raw materials, fabrication processes, and quality control.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision after direction is given.
• Ability to lift 30–50 lbs as needed.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

• The position may involve loud noise, moving equipment, vehicles, electricity, chemicals, heat, sharp materials, grinding, welding, and other standard fabrication hazards.
• Proper safety procedures and PPE are required.
• Reliable commute to Vista, CA 92081 is required.
• Relocation before starting work is preferred if not local.
