Overview
Harcon is a professional and agile metal fabrication plant established in 1969, specializing in sheet metal applications for computers, electronics, medical, and biomedical products. The company aims to build a solid reputation for quality using state-of-the-art technology.
Responsibilities
- Plans details of work order procedures and gathers required tools and materials based on instructions.
- Repairs and fabricates various items and equipment using cutting, burning, and welding techniques.
- Monitors the welding, burning, and fitting process to prevent overheating or damage.
- Prepares, assembles, and tacks weld parts and surfaces to be welded.
- Maintains, organizes, and cleans equipment and the work area.
- Notifies supervisor of faulty equipment or defective materials.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Completion of a formal apprenticeship or successful completion of a three-year in-company training program required.
- Thorough understanding of machines and tools used in welding.
- Basic understanding of design techniques, principles, and tools for producing technical plans.
- Excellent ability to read and listen to assignments in various forms.
- Basic understanding of mathematics as related to welding assignments.
- 1 year of welding experience preferred.

Additional Information
- Full-time position with expected hours of 40 per week.
- Work location is in person in San Diego, CA 92154.
- Relocation before starting work is required.
- 8 hour day shift.
