Overview

Precision Sheet Metal, a fabricator located in San Marcos, CA, is seeking an experienced Hardware Installer to join their team. The role involves installing various types of PEM hardware using specialized equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform all work in compliance with company safety and quality standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications to determine hardware type, quantity, and placement.
• Select and set up proper tooling for hardware installation machines.
• Install and inspect first-piece parts to ensure proper setup.
• Inspect completed parts to verify all required hardware is installed correctly.
• Complete production traveler and related paperwork.
• Maintain equipment, including routine calibration and upkeep.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a sheet metal fabrication environment.
• Ability to lift, carry, move up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to read and interpret part drawings.
• Good vision (near, far, and peripheral; corrective lenses acceptable).
• Ability to hear and distinguish verbal and non-verbal communication.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Additional Information

• Must follow all safety rules and wear required PPE.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident.
• Must pass a drug test and background check.
• Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.
• Compensation: $22–$27/hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
• 90-day trial period, with full benefits offered after successful completion.
