Overview

We are seeking a skilled TIG / MIG Welder to join our team in Portland, OR. The ideal candidate will have experience in precision welding using TIG techniques to fabricate and repair metal components, requiring attention to detail and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG welding on materials such as stainless steel, aluminum, and other alloys to meet project specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate welds.
• Inspect welds for quality, ensuring they meet industry standards (e.g., AWS, ASME).
• Set up and maintain welding equipment, including torches, gas flow, and electrodes.
• Collaborate with team members to complete fabrication or assembly tasks.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
• Troubleshoot welding issues and make adjustments as needed.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a TIG Welder.
• Certification in welding (e.g., AWS D17.1, ASME Section IX) is a plus.
• Proficiency in welding thin-gauge materials and exotic metals.
• Strong understanding of welding techniques, metallurgy, and material properties.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and weld symbols.
• Familiarity with safety standards (OSHA or equivalent).
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
