Overview
OXARC has been providing welding and industrial supplies, as well as medical and specialty gases since 1968. The Welding Productivity Specialist is responsible for outside sales of large capital welding products and services, acting as an expert in welding processes and applications to enhance customer efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Build relationships with existing customers on the sale of large capital welding processes and applications.
- Increase sales and profit margin through efficiency analysis and engineered cost reduction programs.
- Respond to customer inquiries to provide product and application training.
- Work closely with Outside Sales to uncover opportunities within existing and prospective customers.
- Demonstrate products to new account customers.
Requirements
- Associate Degree Welding (AAS), Military weld training, or Bachelor's degree (Weld Engineering) preferred.
- CWI or CWE certification preferred.
- 5+ years’ experience in the welding industry (preferred).
- 3+ years’ sales experience in a relevant field or industry (preferred).
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Effective oral and written communication skills and basic customer service experience.
- Training skills for in person, verbal and written training objectives.
- Must be organized, have good reasoning skills, math aptitude and time management skills.
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet use.
- Valid Driver’s License with good driving record.
