Overview

BDZ Construction is a local construction company seeking a full-time Heavy Equipment Welder / Fabricator responsible for welding and repairing heavy equipment attachments, racks, dump bodies, and frames.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, grind, fabricate, and weld materials.
• Read and interpret shop drawings.
• Perform layout for small and large scale jobs.
• Install and weld on site.
• Operate forklift and assist with loading and unloading materials.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Keep company tools and equipment safe.

Requirements

• Pass a setup and weld test.
• Previous experience with layout and fabrication.
• Ownership of general tools needed daily for work.
• Properly fill out digital work orders.
• Understand and follow company safety protocols.
• Heavy equipment experience is a plus but training is available.
• Mechanical abilities.
• Positive attitude and pride in work.
• Ability to lift and carry 50lbs or more.
• Capable of keeping records organized.
• Self-driven.
• Keep a clean work environment.
• Able to climb in, on, and around equipment.

Additional Information

• Full-time position, starting at 7:00am Monday through Friday with possible daily overtime.
