Overview
A fast-paced, custom metal fabrication shop is seeking an experienced Welder to assist in the fabrication and installation of railings, staircases, and other architectural iron designs. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, able to multitask, and excel at working independently.
Responsibilities
- Assist in fabrication and installation of railings, staircases, and other architectural iron designs.
- Work from shop drawings in a shop setting and frame up on construction job sites.
- Effectively use metal fabrication equipment such as welders, saws, and drill presses.
- Bend and forge metal as required.
- Measure, template, and plan custom work.
- Read and build from architectural blueprints and shop drawings.
- Utilize installation techniques for various projects.
- Collaborate with customers on design options and solutions.
Requirements
- Pass in-house welding test (MIG/TIG).
- Basic understanding of Google Suite (Docs and Sheets).
- Clean driving record preferred if driving a company truck.
- Ability to perform basic math.
- Must be reliable, professional, and possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

- Full-time position.
- Starting rate of $30.00 for the right person.
- Schedule of 40 hours a week with 8 or 10 hour days and a 30-minute unpaid lunch.
- Some overtime may be required.
- Start and end times have some flexibility for the right candidate.
- Mileage reimbursement when personal vehicle is used.
- PTO after 2 years of employment.
