Overview

The Welder / Fabricator at Urban Accessories is responsible for performing high-quality welding, metal fabrication, and assembly work to support production needs. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding operations according to drawings and specifications.
• Fabricate metal components using saws, grinders, cutting torches, and other shop equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication diagrams.
• Fit, position, and weld components to create final assemblies.
• Inspect completed welds for quality, accuracy, and compliance with standards.
• Maintain welding equipment and report issues to Maintenance or Supervisor.
• Follow all safety procedures, including PPE use and LOTO.
• Support Lean manufacturing and 5S workplace organization.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines.

Requirements

• 2+ years welding and fabrication experience.
• Proficiency in MIG welding.
• Extensive experience in sheet metals, aluminum and steel.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Experience using fabrication tools such as grinders, presses, and shears.
• Strong understanding of safe work practices.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
