Overview
The Structural Welder/Fitter position at NANA Construction involves planning, laying out, positioning, aligning, and fitting together fabricated parts of structural metal products. The role requires welding and assembling metal components while adhering to safety standards in a challenging work environment.
Responsibilities
- Read isometric drawings and determine specifications for projects.
- Set up and maintain welding machines and associated equipment.
- Inspect and operate all power tools associated with welding safely.
- Communicate clearly and effectively in a team environment.
- Perform work safely to meet company and client standards.
- Identify and communicate hazardous or unsafe situations.
- Adapt to changing work and environmental conditions.
- Perform other duties pertinent to the department's success.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent or ten years of Structural Welder/Fitter experience.
- Minimum two years experience as a Structural Welder/Fitter.
- Must pass structural welding test in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.
- Knowledge of industrial construction and related equipment.
- Must bring own basic hand tools to the job site.
- Driver’s license and acceptable driving record preferred.
Additional Information
- Work environment includes high places, extreme cold, and loud noise levels.
- Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- Travel may require passing a TSA security checkpoint.
