Overview
This is a 1099 Contract position for four qualified MIG welders to perform welding on structural steel components using a custom-made fixture table and brand new Miller 255 welding machines. The job is expected to last for two months, with the possibility of converting to a full-time W-2 position for welders who excel.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on structural steel components to meet project specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Inspect welds for quality and adherence to industry standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and goals.
- Utilize welding equipment correctly, safely and effectively.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in MIG welding, preferably in structural applications.
- High school diploma or equivalent; welding certification preferred.
- Strong understanding of welding techniques and safety practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy materials.
