Overview

LOHR North America is a leader in the transport logistics industry, providing innovative solutions tailored to customer needs. We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our Fabrication department, responsible for laying out, fitting, and fabricating metal components using various welding techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to determine welding requirements and specifications.
  • Move parts into position, manually or with hoists or cranes.
  • Position, align, fit, and weld parts to form complete units or subunits, following blueprints and layout specifications.
  • Inspect welds for accuracy and quality, ensuring adherence to specifications and standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on welding equipment.
  • Follow all safety procedures and regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to prevent accidents.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding project progress.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.

Requirements

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
  • Completion of a high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Welding Certification or relevant experience required.
  • Ability to perform MIG welds is required - Must be able to pass a test.
  • 3G Welding is a plus.
  • 5 years of Stick and MIG welding experience required.
  • Requires intermittent periods of continuous physical exertion, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, and lifting material (70lbs).
