Overview
ECS is seeking an experienced and skilled HVAC Welder/Pipefitter Foreman to lead the installation, welding, and maintenance of HVAC piping systems on commercial and industrial construction sites. This role involves supervising a team, ensuring quality control, interpreting blueprints, and adhering to safety standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage a team in welding and installing HVAC piping systems.
- Interpret blueprints and ensure accurate execution of plans.
- Ensure all welding and pipefitting tasks meet safety and quality standards.
- Apply GMAW, GTAW, and SMAW welding techniques.
- Coordinate with other trades and resolve on-site issues.
- Ensure proper welding and piping techniques are applied.
- Collaborate with other trades for system installation and maintenance.
- Monitor and enforce job site safety and adherence to building codes.
- Track project progress and provide status updates to management.
- Read and interpret drawings, schematics, including welding diagrams and symbols.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
- 10+ years of experience in HVAC/mechanical systems on commercial and industrial sites.
- Certification in welding (e.g., AWS Certification) is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience with MIG, TIG, and Stick pipe welding methods.
- OSHA 30 or the ability to obtain within 90 days.
