Overview
PCL is looking for a Pipefitter Journeyman for their Willow Project in North Slope, Alaska. The company values community and is committed to building better communities while helping employees build proud careers.
Responsibilities
- Have strong working knowledge of and experience with pipe and piping systems.
- Perform quality work as determined by project specifications.
- Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
- Select type and size of pipe and related materials according to job specifications.
- Plan sequence of installation to avoid obstructions and activities of other construction workers.
- Cut pipe using various tools including hacksaw and pipe cutter.
- Thread pipe using a threading machine.
- Join pipe using various methods including threaded and soldered joints.
- Assemble and install a variety of metal and nonmetal pipe and pipe fittings.
- Secure pipes to structures with clamps, brackets, and pipe hangers using hand tools.
- Perform hydro-tests and air tests of piping systems for leaks.
Requirements
- Must have a minimum of 48+ verifiable work experience as a Pipefitter Journeyman.
- NCCER certification is a plus.
- Must complete NSTC training and be certified prior to arrival.
