Overview
At Independent Metalworks, we fabricate and install all types of commercial ornamental metal projects, as well as many historic metal restoration projects in the DMV area. A good candidate for this position would demonstrate a proficiency in ornamental/architectural metalwork and have a high attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Perform skilled fabrication tasks using jigs, fixtures, and shop equipment.
- Fabricate and install ornamental metal projects.
- Utilize measuring, layout, and blueprint comprehension.
Requirements
- Proficiency in ornamental/architectural metalwork.
- Experience with light miscellaneous steel.
- Knowledge and experience working safely with shop equipment.
- 2 years of metalworking experience required.
- Drivers License required.
- Experience with stainless steel, aluminum, and bronze/brass is a plus.
