Aircraft Welding & Mfg. Co., LLC has been a leader in metal joining technology for aerospace/aircraft fabrication since 1949. The company is located in Hartford, CT, and focuses on providing quality management and customer satisfaction in its manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
- Weld metals and fabricate thin Steel, Stainless Steel, Nickel Alloy, Aluminum, and Titanium into various aerospace parts.
- Set up the welding machine for specific materials, thicknesses, and positions.
- Become military weld certified in GTAW process.
- Make fixturing to meet print specifications.
- Work independently while being detail-oriented.
Requirements
- Vocational trade’s high school diploma or equivalent, formal trade apprenticeship preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in manual GTAW welding of thin aerospace materials.
- Ability to pass multiple position tests in Steel, Stainless Steel, Aluminum, Nickel Alloys, and/or Titanium upon hire.
- Ability to read weld blueprints, engineered drawings, and follow work instructions independently.
- Familiar with fabrication tools such as saws, sanders, and air tools.

Additional Information
- Full-time position with first shift hours from 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday.
