Job Description

Overview

The Fitter role involves reading blueprints and fully assembling the main frame in a manufacturing environment. The position requires skills in welding and beam assembly, along with the ability to operate cranes for moving materials.

Responsibilities

  • Fully assemble the main frame using blueprints and a MIG welding machine.
  • Tack all the parts required to manufacture the beam.
  • Use cranes to move beams from the Kentex area to the fitting station.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 - 2 years of steel beam assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of shop math, blueprint reading, welding symbols, beam assembly, general welding knowledge, and general shop practice.
  • Excellent attention to detail and focus on quality assurance requirements.
