At Bloom Energy, we are committed to creating a world powered by clean, reliable, and affordable energy. We are looking for a Welding Team Lead (Day Shift) to maintain manufacturing activities safely and in accordance with EHS policies while ensuring quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Maintain on-the-floor manufacturing activities in a safe manner.
• Ensure all quality requirements are met by team members daily.
• Provide hands-on welding support to manufacturing areas and engineering projects.
• Answer technical and welding questions as they arise.
• Manage Oracle transactions and IOTs for material movement.
• Conduct cycle counts and manage inventory.
• Create, document, and sustain standardized work practices.
• Train and mentor welding team members using a hands-on approach.
• Report attendance, quality, or performance issues to the Manufacturing Supervisor.
• Run the welding and assembly team from a process standpoint.
• Identify non-value added waste and recommend solutions.
• Assist in the creation of Yamazumi and production line setup.
• Manage all rework components needed for Unishell and Hotbox production.

Requirements

• High school diploma required, AA degree preferred.
• 2-5 years of Tungsten inert gas welding and pulse welding experience required.
• Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Highly motivated self-starter and team player.
• Demonstrate safe work practices and attention to detail.
• Familiar with lean manufacturing terminology principles.
• Experience creating standardized work.
• Experience completing station audits.
• Experience creating Yamazumi and production line setup.
• Experience completing process technician responsibilities preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
• Ability to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours per shift.
• Navigate the facility throughout the day.
• Occasionally lift/carry up to 25–50 lbs.
• Use hands and fingers to operate machinery controls and computers.
• Visual acuity sufficient for product inspection.
• Hearing ability to detect alarms and communicate effectively.
• Ability to perform essential tasks with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Demonstrates competency in written and verbal English communications.
