Overview

U.S. Pipe is seeking a Welder to join their team, responsible for laying out, fitting, and fabricating metal components for structural forms using welding techniques and engineering requirements. The company has been providing quality water and wastewater products since 1899, supporting local governments and businesses across the globe.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, fit, and fabricate metal components to assemble structural forms.
• Perform all work required of Welder 'B'.
• Conduct all types of submerged arc welding.
• Perform layout work and work from blueprints on difficult jobs without supervision.
• Execute special repair and construction jobs as required.
• Conduct maintenance welding as required.
• Assign work in the absence of the group leader or foreman.
• Maintain good housekeeping of the work area.
• Complete other work as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Must pass A.W.S. welding test, either X ray or U.T.
• Must have full knowledge of all kinds of welding work and equipment.
• Must be safety conscious at all times.
