Overview

Dalton Ag is a premier fertilizer application equipment manufacturer based in America’s heartland since 1996. The Welder's primary responsibility is MIG welding of steel parts, ensuring safety, accuracy, and timeliness in the welding area.

Responsibilities

  • MIG welding including creating quality welds according to blueprints.
  • Inspect welds for accuracy and quality.
  • Prepare product to be welded by grinding, drilling, milling, tapping, and cutting steel.
  • Responsible for the proper packaging, identifying, and moving of all finished products.
  • Ensure all equipment is properly set up and used safely.
  • Perform first piece inspections and all subsequent inspections as required.
  • Perform simple maintenance and repair as required.
  • Cross-train as back-up in other areas of the manufacturing plant.
  • Accurately enter data into the ERP system, Epicor.

Requirements

  • One year experience with MIG welding, preferred.
  • Candidates must pass a basic MIG welding test.
  • Working knowledge of measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, protractors, and tape measures.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to follow precise instructions.

Additional Information

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to handle and feel objects, tools, or control.
  • Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to twenty-five pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty pounds.
  • Manufacturing environment with daily exposure to hot, cold, dusty, noisy conditions.
  • Potential to work at different area workstations to meet production needs.
