Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Welder / Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components to meet precise specifications and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine fabrication requirements.
- Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW, and <LOCATION> welding techniques with precision and consistency.
- Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment to shape and assemble metal parts.
- Read and utilize calipers, micrometers, and schematics to ensure accurate measurements and adherence to specifications.
- Operate rigging equipment and forklifts safely for material handling and assembly tasks.
- Fabricate sheet metal components, ductwork, piping, and mechanical assemblies according to industry standards such as ASME codes & standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace while following safety protocols at all times.
Requirements
- Extensive construction site experience with an understanding of on-site fabrication challenges.
- Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW, <LOCATION> welding, and plasma cutting techniques.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Strong mechanical knowledge including pipe threading, assembly processes, and machining operations.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and press brake machines.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations necessary in fabrication tasks.
- Knowledge of rigging practices for lifting and positioning heavy components safely.
- Experience working with ductwork, sheet metal fabrication, and manufacturing environments.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently in a busy work setting.
