Overview
The Welder Combination B, A position prioritizes safety in daily operations while performing welding and construction tasks related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of natural gas infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Place safety as the number one priority in daily work routine for self and others.
- Perform welding and construction duties associated with natural gas mains, services, and related facilities.
Requirements
- High school education or G.E.D. equivalency.
- Valid Class A, Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and safe driving record.
- Ability to use standard pipe tools and operate power-driven pipeline construction equipment.
- May be required to use self-contained breathing apparatus in gas-related emergencies.
- Must provide test welds that pass state and federal code requirements for pipeline welding.
- Must take measures to protect networks and data from cyber-attacks.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States, no sponsorships considered.
- Subject to pre-employment drug testing and background checks.
- Welder Combination A requires two years of credited hours as a Welder B.
- Must pass periodic welding certification tests to retain classification.
- Minimum of one year of experience in welding natural gas lines.
- Knowledge of natural gas construction industry preferred.
