Overview

The Pipefitter will configure, install, fit, and maintain various piping systems, ensuring their smooth operation.

Responsibilities

• Configure, install, fit, and maintain various piping systems.
• Cut, assemble, and install pipes.
• Operate tools and machines to grind, mill, and shape raw materials.
• Consult blueprints, work orders, schematics, or instructions.
• Gather equipment and materials for the job.
• Weld, cut, bend, thread, solder, and fit pipes.
• Attach pipes and piping systems to walls using brackets or clamps.
• Install various types of pipe covering and remove old coverings safely.
• Inspect pipes, testing for pressure and leaks.
• Coordinate with manager to schedule machinery maintenance and repairs.
• Comply with applicable safety and building codes.
• Maintain records, including safety logs and inspection details.
• Assist with jobsite safety to comply with OSHA regulations.
• Champion a positive workplace and safety culture.
• Perform various other duties as required.

Requirements

• Ability to use a variety of tools, including blowtorches and welding torches.
• Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
• Working understanding of safety principles and practices.
• Excellent time management skills.
