Overview
The Welder position involves welding ferrous and non-ferrous metals using processes such as GMAW or Resistance Spot Welding. The role requires setting up and maintaining welding equipment, including robotic welding systems, and ensuring quality workmanship.
Responsibilities
- Weld ferrous and non-ferrous metals using GMAW or Resistance Spot Welding processes.
- Set up welding machines and perform preventive maintenance.
- Load parts into fixtures for welding.
- Fabricate new metal components according to product data sheets.
- Maintain tools and equipment to a professional standard.
- Execute welds professionally and inspect work pieces for defects.
- Notify manager of inventory needs.
- Grind welds as required.
Requirements
- GED or High School Diploma.
- Passage of Drug Test.
- Passage of Physical Agility Test.
- Passage of a hands-on preemployment weld test.
- Stable work history.
- Two years manufacturing experience.
- Ability to read and interpret simple assembly instructions and drawings.
- Ability to work in a team environment with effective interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of Quality and its impact in a production environment.
