Overview

The Millwright Helper is a laboring position on industrial and commercial construction sites in Northern New England, assisting mechanical trades under supervision. The role involves heavy physical work and requires the ability to learn and execute essential functions competently.

Responsibilities

• Assist mechanical trades under the supervision of a lead millwright, welder, pipefitter, ironworker, or crew foreman.
• Cut and shape metals using powered hacksaws, grinders, and/or an oxy-fuel torch.
• Assemble and disassemble mechanical systems under supervision.

Requirements

• Ability to carry out or quickly learn essential functions of the position.
• Good physical conditioning for heavy physical work under all environmental conditions.
• Familiarity with common hand and power tools and precision measuring tools.
• A driver's license and reliable vehicle or a practical alternative for jobsite transportation.
