Overview

We are looking for an Equipment Maintenance Technician who is interested in working in our tire processing facility in Fairfield, ME. The technician will troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and perform preventative maintenance on equipment used in the recycling of tire material.

Responsibilities

• Perform Preventative Maintenance on shafts and rotors on shredding equipment
• Fabricate and assemble parts for machinery
• Perform basic repairs, replace parts, and operate shop tools and machinery
• Operate, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot existing and new equipment
• Maintain clean work area and tools
• Metal Fabrication
• Disassemble and reassemble parts

Requirements

• At least one year of related experience
• Welding and fabrication experience preferred
• Understanding of reading drawings and sketches
• Understanding of Safety compliance around Lockout Tagout procedures and Hot Work Permits
• Understanding of PLC functions and troubleshooting is a plus
• Understanding of manufacturing processing is a plus
• Must be able to follow preventive maintenance program
• Ability to lift 70 Lbs. on occasion
