Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder/Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to read and interpret schematics. This role involves working with various materials and using advanced welding techniques to create high-quality products.
Responsibilities
- Interpret and work from schematics to fabricate metal components.
- Perform welding tasks using FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) and other techniques.
- Utilize plasma cutting equipment for precise cuts on metal materials.
- Operate power tools and machinery, including forklifts and cranes, safely and efficiently.
- Assemble and fit metal parts together, ensuring proper alignment and integrity.
- Fabricate ductwork and other components as required by project specifications.
- Conduct routine inspections of completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements
- Proficient in reading schematics and technical drawings.
- Experience with FCAW welding processes.
- Knowledge of plasma cutting techniques.
- Familiarity with operating power tools, forklifts, and cranes.
- Strong welding skills with a focus on precision and quality.
- Ability to fabricate metal components according to specifications.
- Experience with soldering techniques is a plus.
- Knowledge of ductwork fabrication is desirable.
