Overview

The General Production Worker operates CNC and fabrication equipment in a metal fabrication and welding shop, focusing on safety, efficiency, and quality while meeting production goals. Responsibilities

  • Operate a variety of CNC and manual fabrication equipment based on daily production requirements.
  • Set up machines according to job specifications, ensuring correct materials, measurements, and settings.
  • Monitor machine operation throughout the shift to maintain consistent quality and address issues.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions to ensure parts are produced to specifications.
  • Assist with metal finishing tasks to prepare parts for further processing.
  • Work closely with welding, painting, and machine operating departments to support workflow.
  • Inspect finished parts visually and with measuring tools to verify quality.
  • Follow safety procedures and use appropriate protective equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Support overtime and additional production demands as needed.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in machine operating in a production or fabrication environment.
  • Hands-on experience with CNC operating, including basic setup and operation.
  • Ability to operate burn tables safely and efficiently.
  • Experience with bandsaw operation in a metal fabrication setting.
  • Metal finishing experience in a shop environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints to produce parts to specification.
  • Comfort working around welding and fabrication processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and work instructions consistently.
  • Willingness and ability to work 2nd shift hours.

Additional Information

  • This position is based in a welding and metal fabrication shop.
  • The role is on 2nd shift, working Monday through Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m.
  • Opportunities for overtime are available.
