BE Peterson, Inc., an established custom-designed metal fabrication company, is looking for a Fabrication Assistant to join our team. Responsibilities

• Use basic hand tools to form tubing, secure fasteners, deburr sharp edges, and prepare orders for shipment.
• Fit, tack, and weld assemblies made of various materials in accordance with welding codes and specifications.
• Understand work orders and verbal instructions.
• Position parts in jigs and fixtures to obtain correct dimensions and orientation.
• Safely operate pallet jacks and fork trucks.
• Focus on quality and quantity of work while performing tasks.
• Report defective or questionable conditions to the Production Manager.
• Complete job assignments with minimum supervision.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of aluminum seam welding experience.
• Experience with mechanical assembly or metal forming preferred.
