Overview

The Lynn Welder Trainee Co-Op position at GE Aerospace involves working closely with experienced welders to learn various welding techniques and processes. The role requires a commitment to safety and organization while gaining hands-on experience in welding and fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Perform layout, set-up and welding on a variety of component parts and assemblies.
• Learn to work from planning or verbal instructions, prints or sketches.
• Learn to fabricate, repair or rework using all required welding processes.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards to ensure safe and efficient work areas.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Vocational Technical High School (at least midway through junior year).
• Currently enrolled in a welding/manufacturing program with relevant hands-on experience or coursework.
• Distance Vision 20/30 (US) using corrected or uncorrected vision in either eye.
• Ability to lift, move and manipulate fixtures and component hardware up to 25 lbs.
