Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated MIG Welder to join our dynamic fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing high-quality welding operations on various metal components, primarily utilizing Metal Inert Gas (MIG) welding techniques.

Responsibilities

• Execute MIG welding on sheet metal, ductwork, pipes, and structural components according to detailed blueprints and schematics.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and welding symbols to ensure accurate fabrication.
• Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and other measurement devices to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Prepare materials by cleaning, cutting, and positioning parts for welding using plasma cutters, press brake machines, or other fabrication equipment.
• Maintain compliance with ASME codes & standards during welding processes to ensure safety and quality.
• Operate rigging equipment and forklifts as needed for material handling and positioning.
• Perform routine inspections of welds using visual checks and basic testing methods to confirm integrity.

Requirements

• Proven experience with MIG welding across construction sites or manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
• Familiarity with ASME codes & standards governing weld quality and safety practices.
• Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and schematics for fabrication tasks.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication specifications.
• Knowledge of manufacturing safety protocols including crane operation and forklift handling.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced settings while maintaining attention to detail.
