Overview

Hillsdale Fabricators, part of Alberici's steel division and one of the largest steel fabricators in the Midwest, is hiring Fitters and Welders to create top-level assemblies for construction projects such as stadiums, buildings, bridges, and hospitals.

Responsibilities

• Fitters will use structural drawings to lay out parts with precision.
• Finalize high-level piece marks for proper field fit.
• Manipulate material using heat and mechanical means as needed.
• Assist in developing plans for efficient and high-quality builds.
• Welders will perform high-quality welds using FCAW and SAW processes.
• Self-inspect welds to ensure compliance with AWS D1.1 standards.
• Perform adjacent tasks including back gouging and operating torches.
• Assist in layout of welded material and comment on weld progression.

Requirements

• Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
• Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
• Attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.

• 1st Shift - 6:00am to 2:30pm
