Overview
The Dual Inspector position requires experienced professionals with both NACE/AMPP Coating Inspection Program (CIP) and AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certifications for pipeline and facility construction projects in the Southeast region, starting in late Spring 2025.
Responsibilities
- Perform coating inspection per NACE/AMPP standards including surface prep, application, and DFT verification.
- Conduct welding inspection activities including pre-weld, in-process, and post-weld examination per AWS and applicable project specifications.
- Review and interpret welding procedures (WPS/PQR) and welder qualification records.
- Document daily inspection activities, NCRs, and field reports in compliance with client and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with project management, QC teams, and contractors to ensure work meets code and spec.
- Travel to project sites within the Southeast region as required.
Requirements
- Active NACE/AMPP CIP Level 1 required; Level 2 preferred.
- Active AWS CWI certification required.
- Minimum 3–5 years of field inspection experience in pipeline, midstream, or facility construction.
- Familiarity with API, ASME, and DOT standards a plus.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a field environment.
