Overview

The Millwright is responsible for operating and maintaining various industrial equipment while collaborating with the Operations Team to achieve operational goals. Columbia Grain International, LLC. is a well-established grain company with over 450 employees, focused on safety, quality, and production efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain multiple pieces of equipment including bin gates, bucket elevators, and distribution systems.
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery and production equipment.
  • Align motors, pumps, and gearboxes using precision measurement tools.
  • Diagnose mechanical failures and minimize downtime.
  • Replace and repair bearings, belts, shafts, and other mechanical components.
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance and conduct routine inspections.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Assist with the installation, alignment, and startup of new machinery.
  • Collaborate with electricians and maintenance teams on repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and standards.
  • Maintain flexibility to work rotating shifts and extended hours.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in industrial maintenance or millwright work.
  • Knowledge of industrial machinery installation and precision alignment practices.
  • Experience performing preventative and predictive maintenance.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Welding and fabrication experience preferred.
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Knowledge of conveyor systems and related maintenance practices.
  • Experience with bearing replacement and mechanical component repair.
  • Ability to safely perform rigging and equipment moving activities.
  • Proficient in precision measurement tools.
  • Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout procedures and OSHA standards.
  • Basic computer proficiency and strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and teamwork.
  • Ability to perform duties in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Periodic travel to various facilities as required.
  • Ability to move freely throughout facilities and work in high places.
