Overview

TrueNorth Steel is seeking a Welder/Fabricator to join their Game Changer team in Fargo, ND. The role involves performing various welding tasks while adhering to company policies and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Learn company policies and procedures
• Work on basic manufacturing assignments that have set standards
• Follow detailed instructions while observed closely by supervisor or lead
• Problem solve simple and non-complex issues that need little judgement
• Perform measurements within specified tolerances
• Learn to read blueprints
• Work well with others
• Work safely and accurately
• Maintain prompt and dependable attendance
• Perform simple flat and horizontal welds and flat groove welds
• Fit and weld subassemblies with tack or spot weld
• Exhibit knowledge of material identification, equipment utilization and welding equipment set-up and maintenance
• Demonstrate general knowledge of equipment and operations
• Have a basic understanding of weld symbols
• Understand and follow oral and written directions
• Read a tape measure (imperial and metric)

Requirements

• 1-2 years of welding experience preferred
• Ability to learn company policies and procedures
• Basic understanding of welding techniques and equipment
• Ability to read blueprints and tape measures
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Dependable attendance and trustworthy character
