Responsibilities
- Set up and operate MIG and TIG welding equipment based on project requirements
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)
- Weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum parts accurately and safely
- Prepare parts and materials for welding, including layout and fit-up
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Follow all company safety protocols and quality standards
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals
- Support setup for repeat/serial production runs
- Inspect and measure completed welds for accuracy and quality
- Prepare finished parts for shipment
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of on-the-job MIG and TIG welding experience
- Experience welding carbon steel, aluminum, and stainless steel
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols
- Skilled with measuring tools such as calipers, tape measures, and angle gauges
- Familiar with the metric system
- Basic math skills, including converting between fractions and decimals
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work
- Reliable, safety-minded, and team-oriented
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and working in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to consistently lift up to 60 lbs
