Overview
The Fabrication Technician role involves welding, joining, and cutting metal and other materials into various structures, requiring hands-on experience with different welding techniques and the ability to follow engineering plans.
Responsibilities
- Weld and join metal and other materials into structures.
- Perform Mig welding, Tig welding, and stick/rod welding.
- Follow engineering plans, drawings, and instructions.
- Cut materials into required shapes and check dimensions and thickness.
- Perform other related duties in the Maintenance department as assigned.
Requirements
- Works well independently and with others.
- Organized with attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 to 4 years’ experience.
- Prolonged periods standing and walking.
- Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.
- Must be able to visually inspect machines.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
