Overview

The Fabrication Technician role involves welding, joining, and cutting metal and other materials into various structures, requiring hands-on experience with different welding techniques and the ability to follow engineering plans.

Responsibilities

• Weld and join metal and other materials into structures.
• Perform Mig welding, Tig welding, and stick/rod welding.
• Follow engineering plans, drawings, and instructions.
• Cut materials into required shapes and check dimensions and thickness.
• Perform other related duties in the Maintenance department as assigned.

Requirements

• Works well independently and with others.
• Organized with attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 to 4 years’ experience.
• Prolonged periods standing and walking.
• Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.
• Must be able to visually inspect machines.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
