Responsibilities

• Perform welding operations using MIG welding processes
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications accurately
• Assist Fitter in aligning parts according to blueprint drawings
• Set up welding equipment and maintain proper safety protocols
• Inspect materials and products to ensure quality standards are met

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work overtime
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Safety conscious
• Good attendance
• Ability to use steel hand working tools
• Previous welding experience (preferred)
• Ability to pass a welders certification test
• Have the ability to safely operate overhead cranes
• Knowledge of minor welding machine maintenance is helpful
• Knowledge of oxy/fuel torches and measuring devices, i.e. tapes, squares and levels

Additional Information

• Current hours are Monday through Friday 5:30am to 4:00pm, with the possibility of five (5) hours on Saturday morning.
• Sign-on bonus paid in two installments after 90 days of employment and at the 6-months mark.
