Overview
The Adjunct Instructor for NCCER will plan, prepare, and guide continuing education experiences for adult learners in construction-related fields. This role may also involve consulting with businesses to address organizational development needs.
Responsibilities
- Prepare assignments and customize existing instructor guides.
- Ensure effective learning tools are ready before class starts.
- Use adult learning techniques to meet learning objectives.
- Oversee and arrange clinical settings as required.
- Collaborate with the Temple College Business and Continuing Education Division for training scheduling.
- Represent Temple College Business and Continuing Education professionally.
- Set up and clean classrooms, ensuring all equipment is turned off.
- Attend meetings and professional development workshops as requested.
- Stay current in areas of expertise related to continuing education.
- Perform other job-related duties as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or High School Equivalency.
- Minimum of seven years industry experience in Construction or related trades.
- Ten years subject-related industry experience preferred.
- Teaching or corporate training experience preferred.
- Certification in construction trades preferred.
- Possess or be willing to obtain NCCER Instructor certification.
