Job Description

Overview

The Adjunct Instructor for NCCER will plan, prepare, and guide continuing education experiences for adult learners in construction-related fields. This role may also involve consulting with businesses to address organizational development needs.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare assignments and customize existing instructor guides.
  • Ensure effective learning tools are ready before class starts.
  • Use adult learning techniques to meet learning objectives.
  • Oversee and arrange clinical settings as required.
  • Collaborate with the Temple College Business and Continuing Education Division for training scheduling.
  • Represent Temple College Business and Continuing Education professionally.
  • Set up and clean classrooms, ensuring all equipment is turned off.
  • Attend meetings and professional development workshops as requested.
  • Stay current in areas of expertise related to continuing education.
  • Perform other job-related duties as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or High School Equivalency.
  • Minimum of seven years industry experience in Construction or related trades.
  • Ten years subject-related industry experience preferred.
  • Teaching or corporate training experience preferred.
  • Certification in construction trades preferred.
  • Possess or be willing to obtain NCCER Instructor certification.
