Job Description

Overview

Welders are responsible for welding defective and broken parts and structural members of terminal trucks, trailers, cranes, and associated equipment and machinery. They utilize various welding techniques and equipment to ensure quality work in a safe environment.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate welding, cutting, and fabrication skills.
  • Use a variety of welding equipment and procedures.
  • Determine the appropriate welding method based on requirements.
  • Utilize TIG, MIG, wire, and DC welders.
  • Take and read measurements to plan layout and procedures.
  • Read and interpret engineering and assembly drawings.
  • Work with coworkers to complete projects safely and timely.
  • Maintain a safe and orderly work area.
  • Practice safe usage of cutting torches, plasma cutters, and grinding equipment.
  • Read and interpret technical documents and drawings.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).
  • 2-3 years of experience in welding.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Ability to accept responsibility and account for actions.
