Overview

Cornerstone Building Brands is a leading manufacturer of exterior building products for residential and low-rise non-residential buildings in North America. The Production Associate 2 (Welder) is responsible for operating welding equipment in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate welding equipment and various hand tools to manually construct window units.
• Set up welding equipment and select appropriate materials based on specifications.
• Ensure high-quality welds to meet production standards.
• Operate welding machines to fabricate and assemble window frames using various welding techniques.
• Ensure accurate measurements and alignment during the welding process.
• Perform quality inspections/audits and engage in problem-solving activities.
• Inspect finished products for quality and make necessary adjustments or repairs.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following procedures and regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and efficiency.

Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and stand for the duration of the entire shift.
• Must cross-train and rotate on various workstations within line/complex.
• Ability to measure lengths accurately to 1/32”.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
• Able to read schematics, drawings, and diagrams.
• Capable of using computerized equipment.
• Able to operate foam filling machine.
• Ability to move carts in and out of production areas.
• 1 - 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Additional Information

• Base pay starts at $17.75 - $24.00 per hour.
• 1st Shift: 7AM-3:30PM Monday-Friday.
• Site Location: 1 Silverline Dr. North Brunswick Township, NJ 08902.
